thanks for your response.

1. SUM will ask you to release the conflicting transport.

- Is there any other way to know the TRs before starting actual update ?

2. You can use the Miantenance Planner tool (hosted by SAP) to generate the stack.xml.

-   I dont have my system maintained in Maintenance planner as Solution manager not there in landscape, can I still generate stack.xml file or get it from SAP?
