First of all, you need to understand the architecture of HCM Process and Forms. If you worked with the "old" PCRs (Personnel Change Requests) then you know that all the "data passing" was handled typically by creating your own customer table(s).....and it sucked! (haha). HCM P&F came along and solved that for us. The "persistence layer" of HCM P&F is Case Management. SAP re-tooled Case Mgmt to serve as our "temporary" storage of the data. Using transaction SCASE, you can find ALL of the data (as XML) for your process (EACH form scenario step as well as the "current" data). This is how/where SAP stores everything for us until/if we finally decide to then actually make the changes in the database (for example, writing to the infotypes). And it STAYS out there until you archive or otherwise for any kind of historical record you need....which leads us into the next part...reporting.
HCM P&F comes with any/all reporting capabilities you should need. For simply reviewing/auditing processes, we have the "process browser" (aka. "process search"). You can search/sort/lookup process in all manner of ways. Past that, we have true analytical reporting capabilities (such as "how many processes ran this year?") which I have blogged about before.
Soooo....no need for you to have to "do" much at all. It is all right there. Just become familiar with HCM P&F and that is YOUR part of it.
