Re: What are the main drivers to go for EPM Plugin (AO 2.X) vs. sticking with EPM Add-in

Hi Marc,

Thanks for the reply and the SAP Notes, it was quite informative about how SAP sees the Analysis Plugin and the EPM Plugin being used.

My understanding from this is:

- Analysis Plugin (Part of AO Add-in) is the SAP recommeded client for working with BPC Embedded models (which comes with BPC 10.1)

- EPM Plugin (Part of the AO Add-in) is the SAP recommeded client for working with BPC Standard Models (although it also works with Embedded models with limitations & no enhancements to support Embedded models). I like the fairly detailed list in the Roadmap of Embedded model features not supported by the EPM Plugin.

- EPM Addin will continue to be supported and receive SP upgrades till 2020.

Some points which I hope can be further clarrified:

- Details of differences between EPM Addin and EPM Plugin in relation to both front end and also support for Standard models. VBA code difference is one, but are there others we should expect?

Thanks

Zubin
